I realize it's been a long time since I've blogged and there is a lot to catch up on.
I switched back to days at work and I love it. It's so nice to be back to a normal schedule. I do miss Cohen though. I got to spend more time with him when I worked nights, but this schedule works out best for us right now.

Me and my two best friends, Stephanie and Lindsey took another trip to Las Vegas in September. It was for Stephs birthday. It was so much fun. This time we stayed an extra night. I always have a blast with those two. Couldn't ask for better friends.

Halloween has come and gone. Cohen was a dinosaur. He was so cute. We took him trick or treating around my dad's house and he got quite a bit of candy, of course he had to share some of it ;) After trick or treating we went back to my dad's for chili and scones. Yumm.

I also had a birthday! I'm now 23. It was a good birthday. Hanging out with friends and family, cake, ice cream, a birthday dinner, and presents :) doesn't get much better.

Cohen will be 2 on November 23rd. I can't believe how fast it has gone by and how much he has changed. He has the cutest personality and is all boy. He's also very handsome and very out going. I am the luckiest momma.

Well that is pretty much it..If I think of anything else I will let you know. I will also do a picture dump on my next post.

Every time I thought about writing this post, I dreaded it. I would stare at the blank screen and just watch the blinking cursor.
On August 24th, 2011 I lost my best friend, the person I consider more of a mother than my real one, and my Grandmother.

It has been really hard for me because it was so sudden. I mean she has always been sick, but she would always bounce back. This time, she didn't. My dad and my Grandpa took her into the hospital early Wednesday morning and stayed until about 4:30 am. They were taking tests. My dad and Grandpa came home to get some rest. My grandpa sat on the couch and told me they weren't sure what was wrong, but she wasn't doing very well. We hugged and he went to lay down. About 20 minutes from when he had walked in the door, the hospital called. She had pneumonia. I stood in the doorway of their room and waited for him to tell me. I just started to cry. I knew something was wrong. I went downstairs to my room, got in bed and about 20-25 minutes from the first phone call, the hospital called again. They needed to put her on life support. They were trying and going to try everything they could. I cried even more and prayed harder than I had in a long time. About 20 minutes from that phone call, another. We needed to go say our goodbyes. I called my dad, my grandpa wanted him to come get him and take him to the hospital. It had been about 10 minutes since the call to my dad, my Grandpa called my uncle Shane, I called my Justin and then Chris to come sit with Cohen. My Grandpa wanted to know where my dad was, I called him..and he told me. She was already gone. My heart broke. My grandpa left to the hospital on his own. I stayed at the house and waited for Chris.

Chris got to my house and I just cried. I was still pretty numb and it hadn't really hit me yet. Chris drove me to the Timpanogos Hospital in Orem and dropped me off. I walked through the doors and into the elevator, the whole time I was shaking and didn't know what to expect. I got to the 4th floor and stopped at the restroom. I thought for sure I was going to throw up. I walked into her room and her eyes were open, that was the first thing I noticed. My dad was there, my uncle Shane, my cousin Emily, my great aunt Sue and her husband Jimmy. I hugged my aunt Sue, then my uncle Shane, my cousin Emily, and then my dad. I sat in shoulder and cried. Once I got it sort of together, he told me to go say goodbye. I didn't know if I could. Her eyes were open..and I didn't like that. Everyone just told me to look at how peaceful she looked, and she did. She was staring up off into the distance, like someone was waiting for her. Her skin looked so beautiful. I just kept waiting for her to turn over and say just kidding. She didn't. My brother Cody arrived and his mom Sheri. Then my other cousins, Taylor and Kacie with my uncle Shane's wife Claudia. My Mom came awhile after that.

Saying goodbye was so hard. But it still hadn't hit me. She couldn't really be gone, not yet. I still needed her, I love her, Cohen still needs her, he loves her.

Me, my brother and my dad all went to breakfast after leaving the hospital. We had Village Inn. We talked about all our good memories of grandma and how much we were going to miss her. I had to call and tell my Grandmas friend Rose. She lost it. A co-worker had to take her phone and tell me she would call me back. We went back to my dads and started going through pictures to find one for the obituary. I hadn't really slept, I got off work at 2:20am and then had only gotten about an hour of sleep. I crashed on the couch at my dads, so did my brother. A few hours later, Rose and Sam stopped by to check on us. Rose apologized for losing it. I understood. We talked for awhile with them and then it was time to get ready for the day, to go get Cohen. Actually they days after that are kind of a blur.

I slept a lot, cried a lot, and I also had to prepare my talk for the funeral. I can't explain those days in much more detail than, sleeping, eating, spending time with the family, and preparing for the funeral.

My uncle Shane had asked if I would pick out an outfit for my Grandma to wear and that I do her hair and make up. While the thought of this scared me to death, I was honored. I picked a beautiful black dress that had a floralish design to it with a shear black button up top. I had to be at the funeral home Sunday morning to get her ready for the funeral on Monday. I picked up my mom and my dad's neighbor Missy (she's a hair dresser and the sweetest lady). We met my aunt Sue, aunt Claudia, and cousin Emily at the funeral home. It was nice to have them there to help. I didn't know we were going to dress her, I couldn't do that. I had to leave the room while, my mom, Claudia, Sue, and Missy helped do that part. She was just so stiff, so cold. We painted her nails, did her make-up, and did her hair. She looked beautiful. Seeing her Sunday kind of prepared me for Monday.

Monday was the day to say our final goodbyes. We did the funeral thing, I got up and spoke, which was very hard. I listened to my dad, my great aunt Dana, my great uncle Lee, and my uncle Shane speak too. They all did a great job. It was a beautiful funeral.

The day after the funeral was the hardest for me. It was so final and there was no more preparing for the funeral to keep me busy. I miss her everyday and wish she was still here. I keep telling myself that she is in a better place, not in pain, with her sister, brother, and father (ya know, what everyone tells you that is trying to make you feel better in this situation). But the selfish part of me still wishes she was here for me to talk to everyday. To wake up and walk upstairs to her sitting on the couch watching her morning shows, Rachel Ray, The View, and then just recently All My Children. I could talk to her about anything. She was always there for me. I wasn't always the nicest person and at times hard to get along with, but she still loved me and I loved her. I still love her so much.

It is still going to be hard, Thanksgiving, Christmas, other Holidays, and birthdays will always hurt. I will still miss her everyday and I will still wish that Cohen would have gotten to spend more time with her. But I will see her again someday. And until then, that's what I will look forward to. I love you Grandma.

Things are soo good! I don't want to jinx them, but really. Life is awesome. :)
I have Cohen, an AWESOME family, and freaking AMAZING friends! Also a great job and a new car! haha My new car isn't why I'm happy..but it sure is nice ;)
We are going to Park City tomorrow to stay and I am super excited. It's going to be so much fun.
I'm also going to Vegas in 27 days!! Woohoo! It's gunna be a blast! This summer has been great, minus the not so awesome weather..at least it's been sunny for a week straight. That's progress.
Anyway..I got a little side tracked, I'm just so excited.
Life is great. That is all.

..the zoo & no more bink..

So couple weekends ago we went to the zoo. Cohen loved it. I was a little disappointed because there really wasn't much to see..the dinosaurs were his favorite..especially the one that sprayed you with water. Anyway..here are some pictures.

I also decided to get rid of Cohens binky. Well actually I cut the tip of his favorite one and he wasn't having it, he found the spare and then lost that one. So instead of going out and buying a new one, I just decided it was time to get rid of it.
The first night was the worst, he woke up at 3am and 6am..cried until about 6:20am and the went to sleep until almost 10. Still not too bad for how attached he was to it.
It has actually been surprisingly easy. I thought we would have at least a few rough days..nope. Cohen has wined for it a little, but I just explain that it's gone and no more bink and he forgets about it and moves on. I have the BEST babes EVER! :) I keep thinking that I have had it TOO easy..and in the end..either when he is a teenager, or if I have another child..I am going to pay for it..Hopefully not, but that's what I keep thinkin.

It's true..I got a new car! It's a Mazda CX-7. I loovve it! I needed a more mom friendly car.
I loved my Mazda 3..but trying to fit Cohen's basketball hoop and stuff like that..was just a hassle. So..we upgraded!

This summer has been a lot of fun! We've gone camping..alot, had my summer work party, went to the rodeo and carnival, saw Cars 2, and went wave running (well me..not Cohen).
We are going to the Zoo this Saturday. Cohen is going to love it. He has a thing for rawring at people so I'm sure he will the the Zoorassic Park..or whatever it's called. I will post more about it after we go, and pictures! :)

I had a friend pass away recently, in a tragic accident. His family is in my prayers and he is truly missed. He was an awesome guy. It makes me sick to think that someone could do this to another person..but the kid responsible for Scottys death will get his in the end.

It's FINALLY SUMMER!! :) I'm very excited. As soon as I get my swimming suit top back from the tailor, Cohen and I are going swimming! He loovves the water and dirt. He is definitely all boy that's for sure.

We have gone camping the last few weekends and Cohen absolutely loves it. He loves riding the four wheeler and getting to play in the dirt with out getting in trouble.

Recently my dad got VIP tickets to the Larry H. Miller Motor Sports Park Super Bike races. There was a carnival and Dierks Bentley! We didn't get to stay for Dierks cause it started poring and we had Cohen so we didn't want to sit in the rain, but we had a lot of fun! I took Cohen on a small roller coaster and he liked it the first time around, but by the end he was ready to get off.

This was on the way there, just chillin.

We also went to the dinosaur museum. Cohen walked around saying "rawr" the whole time, it was really funny. I need to take him to the zoo, he would love that. He loves animals and they have that new Jurassic thing this year.

Easter also happened. I know..it was months ago, but I forgot to post about it.

So..today started out well and then quickly became very drama filled. I have cried on and off for 3 hours.
I just can't believe people. Especially those that are supposed to be your friend and that you've tried to be and been there for. I know that your life isn't turning out how you wanted it to and you've made bad choices that have led you down this path that goes nowhere good..BUT it doesn't give you the right to make up a bunch of TERRIBLE, terrible lies about someone else. You are affecting their life now and causing unnecessary drama for them. I have nothing to do with the choices you have made. I am sorry that your life sucks and that you feel the need to tear down others to make yourself feel better.
I also know that this may all be because of the drugs..but that's the choice that YOU made. YOU need to deal with it. DON'T try to drag others down with you.
I would NEVER, no matter how bad my life was, make up and say the things you said today. NONE of them being true. I just don't understand how someone can do that and not feel the least bit guilty. It's really sad.
BUT in the end, the joke is on you. People know you and your history. People also know me and my history and who's character do you think they are going to question.
I also 100% believe in...KARMA and it can be a b.
I know who I am and I know that I am a good person. My REAL friends also know this.
I do wish you the best of luck and hope that you can get your life straightened out so that you don't hurt someone else like you hurt me today.

My little brother Justin is going to be valedictorian! I can't believe he will be graduating. Makes me feel kinda old.
He has come such a long way and I am soo proud of him! Despite all of the challenges and trials he has been put through in his life, he is on the right track. He is such a good kid and truly cares about everyone.
He is also part of the JROTC at his school. He has done a lot of competitions taking first and second place in most of them. He is also interested in joining the Army.
His school newspaper did an article on him as the student spotlight. I wasn't able to find a copy online, so I am just going to type it up.

Just in case you don't know him, Justin Case is a smart and funny guy who is the valedictorian this year at IHS. Justin has been going to IHS for 4 years, and he has enjoyed every one of them. Justin has many friends both old and new at this school. Calyn Van Natta, a senior at IHS and friend of Justin, jokes, "I don't like his red pants, but I still love him. "

Justin Case is one of the most academically gifted kids here at IHS. We asked if he had any advice for kids to pass their classes and he said, "You just need to come to school everyday and do the work. It's easy to pass and it's worth it." He is even on the academic wall of fame in the hallway from 2009. That is probably why he is the valedictorian this year at IHS. Justin said, "I feel good about being valedictorian. I want it to help with college because I'm going to Dixie for generals and to the University of Hawaii to finish with a master's degree."

Justin told us, "My most memorable moment at IHS was when I did the Michael Jackson dance with Isai Estrada and Chris Leon. We made up a dance and sang "I Will Be There" for an MJ-themed assembly." Justin continued, "I like this school a lot. That's why I have stayed for all four years. Jose Catarino, the JROTC teacher at IHS, is my favorite. He's just like one of us, a friend, and hilarious."

Justin Case has many friends and is very like-able because he has such a friendly and outgoing personality. "He is a very generous and considerate person," says Gavin Hancock, a senior at IHS. Justin Case is an all-around great guy.

Cheesecake Dip:

1 pkg cream cheese
1 stick butter
1/2 cup powdered or regular sugar (powdered is better)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix cream cheese and butter with mixer until soft.
Add powdered and brown sugar, mix again.
Add chocolate chips and vanilla.

That is it! Serve with teddy graham crackers.

So..I have come to the realization that I have a new addiction........ONLINE SHOPPING!
It's terrible. Last week alone I ordered stuff from HauteLook, Old Navy, and Amazon. Granted I got killer deals on all the things I ordered (that's my way of justifying it) haha BUT it's still probably not the best thing.
I just can't help it! Here I am sitting at work, checking my email and BAM emails from all these cute places are screaming LOOK AT ME!! LOOK AT ME!! :/ Admitting it is the first step to recovery right?! :)

So I haven't blogged in a LONG time and A LOT has happened.
First, lets start with our trip to the Aquarium. It was a few months ago, but the pictures are so cute and Cohen had such a great time. He loved the penguins the most. We went with my friend Annalee and the cute kids she watches during the week.

Viva Las Vegas!! A couple of weekends ago, myself and 2 girlfriends went to Vegas. It was SO much fun, I had never been before! I LOVED it. We stayed at the Cosmopolitan which was AMAZING and SUPER pretty. We have already planned a trip back in September. I can't wait! I did miss Cohen like crazy. I had never left him for that long, but he had fun staying with grandpa and great grandma! They love him and spoil him like crazy. :) I did cry when I got home because he looked SO MUCH bigger then when I had left him.

Now the last thing..Cohen does THE CUTEST thing EVER.

When you ask him to say please, this is what he does. I LOVE IT! I love him. :)

How I have changed since last year..
Well a lot has changed besides my hair and losing some weight.
This past year with Cohen has taught me so much. I love getting to share each day with him and watch him grow. He is growing so fast.
Also watching his little personality emerge. He loovves being the center of attention and apart of whatever is going on. He is the happiest baby ever. He can make you smile, even on your worst day.
I also have an awesome job that I loovve. Awesome family and friends. And a sweet new car!!

This post took me awhile to write. When I sat down and started thinking about some of the people that have hurt me recently, there were a few.

Dear Mom,

My whole life we didn't really have the ideal mother daughter relationship, but it still hurt when you would break a promise, end up in jail or in trouble with the law (again), lie, and give our stuff away for drugs.
After you went to jail for a year, I thought you were going to stay clean and stop all your craziness. I thought that you were going to try and be there for me and Cohen, Justin and Chance, and finally get your life on track.
Honestly, I gave up on you when I was 12. But this last time it seemed that it might be different. I didn't want to talk to you or let you be a part of Cohens life, but you text or called me EVERDAY for A WHOLE MONTH! That's when I finally thought well maybe she is trying. So I gave in. Only to be let down again. Back to jail you went and as soon as you got out you were hanging out with the same bad people.
I won't give in again and I am not going to expose Cohen to broken promises and heart ache.

Today was a good day. Went to lunch with my brother, Cohen, and my Grandparents. Then we went to my dads and watched movies and hung out. It was a really good day. I loovve Sundays, just hanging out with the fam and Cohen, bein lazy. Perfect. :)

Well 2010 came and went. It was a crazy year and a lot happened.
2011 is going to be a good year! :) I have a few New Years resolutions for this year that I plan to carry out and make them actually happen.
1. I am going to lose 15 lbs. (Then I will be back to my pre preg weight)
2. I am NOT going to sweat the small stuff.
3. I am going to make EXTRA time for my family and close friends.
4. I am going to surround myself with POSITIVE people, people who don't just want to bring others down.
5. Get rid of all the negative influences in my life.
6. Spend LOTS && LOTS of time with Cohen!! :)
I am excited for what this year will bring. I hope it goes a little slower than 2010, it just came and went.

Cohen is....WALKING!! :) I was starting to get a little worried because he was almost 13 months and still hadn't started walking. I mean he would hold on to your hands and go but that was it. I was at work when Chris called me and told me that Cohen started walking. I started to cry. I was happy and sad at the same time. Sad that I missed it and sad because that means that my little guy is getting soo big! He walks around like crazy now and is getting soo good. I love him lots. :) I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! (I will post about that soon.)

Yesterday December 8, 2010 was my grandpa Rodgers birthday. He would have been 71.
He passed away September 8, 2010. I miss him so much. There are so many things I remember about my gramps. Going on rides on his blue motorcycle or big red truck, trying to teach me to play guitar, Sunday afternoons he would give me and my step sister Brittany all his change to walk to Macey's because we weren't allowed to hang out on Sunday's but we HAD to get out of the house, he was a great story teller and always had a story to tell, he would give me rides before I could drive, anywhere I needed to go and didn't ever complain, he helped me get the jelly bean when I was 16 after my first car died, the dream catcher necklace he made me, the Indian name he gave me when I was 16, his wisdom and philosophy of life, there wasn't anything he couldn't do.
I do regret that Cohen never got to meet him and I hope that he understands why and the reasoning. It had nothing to do with him and I wish the circumstances would have been different, but he will meet him someday and I will make sure to tell Cohen all about his great grandpa Rodger.
I have been thinking a lot lately about how short life is, how I take small everyday things for granted. This year I am going to spend more time with family and friends, make sure that I am doing things that I enjoy. I am also going to s.l.o.w down and actually enjoy life, I feel like sometimes I get so caught up in errands, laundry, dishes, vacuuming, going to work, etc.. that I miss things or I don't spend enough quality time with Cohen. I have been working on letting the dishes pile up or the laundry if it means that I get to spend more one on one time with Cohen.
I love you grandpa and I miss you so much. I think about you often and the littlest things remind me of you. You are truly missed but I know that you are "driving the Highways of Heaven smiling down on all of us." Love you gramps.

I love you soo much Cohen, words can't even explain. It's so crazy I met you for the very first time a year ago today. You stole my heart that day.

You are the best baby and this has been an awesome year. You have grown up so much and taught me so much. You are very smart and such a happy little guy. I can't imagine life without you.

This Saturday we celebrated Cohen's 1st birthday!

He had soo much fun! He loved all the friends and family, cake, and of course cool presents! :)

He is pretty spoiled. It looked like Christmas! But you only turn 1 once right?

We invited our close friends and family over to grandpa Steve's for cake, ice cream, and presents.

We even had awesome party hats! :)

I really enjoyed planning his party and watching him open is presents and dig into his cake!

He also got his FIRST hair cut! He did awesome! My cute friend Kayce cut it and she was soo cute with him. She let him see the buzzer and feel it so he wouldn't be scared. He then discovered that if he pulled on the cord to her blow dryer, the blow dryer would turn on. He loved that. It kept him entertained the rest of the time! :) He did a great job and looks soo handsome! He looks much older too. :/ I can't believe that it has already been a year! We have so many more to come and I am really excited. I love my little man so much. He teaches me something new everyday. :)

..Halloween 2010..

I know..I'm a little late! Halloween was soo much fun this year! Cohen was a duck! The cutest duck EVER! :) We didn't take him trick or treating because I thought he was too little, next year though. We went to my grandparents for chili and scones..mMm yummy! :) We then went over to Chris's family party. Cohen loved it! Everyone was dressed up, there was dancing in the garage, a disco ball and everything. Of course Cohen loves music so he wanted to be in the garage for the most part. He also thought the disco ball with all the colors was pretty cool. :) Yummy food in the kitchen and fresh homemade cider and a fire outside!

Cohen really enjoys people, it's so fun to watch him study and take them in. He is getting so big and he is soo smart! I can't believe he will be 1 this month! :/ Oh how time flies!

I have been a terrible blogger the last month.
So an update, I got a new car!!! WOOHOO!! i loovve it! It's an 08 black Mazda 3. Soo cute and wayy better than my Camery. Which is now for sell if anyone is interested or knows anyone. It's an awesome car for how old it is, no problems and runs great! :)
Cohen is 10 MONTHS OLD!!! Ahhh..why does he keep getting soo big!? He is soo funny, he waves bye bye, says dada ( :( I wanted him to say mama first), he doesn't crawl, but he does scoot around on his bum..it's the cutest thing ever! :) He is also starting to pull himself up onto things. I can't believe how big and smart he is. I love him soo much. He is my life and I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world! :)
Chris got a job! Yay! haha he is working at a place called Via Subscription. I'm not sure what the company does exactly ha. He is doing tech support and office stuff for now. I am still working at SecurityMetrics as the night supervisor and I loovve it!! :)

Cohen is 9 months old now! He is getting soo big! :) His personality is super cute and big! He is the funniest lil guy and he knows how cute he is! He bats his eyes, claps, scoots around on his bum, AND he is getting ANOTHER tooth! It's on the bottom also, right next to the other one! :) It's adorable! He really is handling it like a champ too, hardly fusses.

I also got his Halloween costume at Costco. I know it's only August but it was a great deal and so adorable! He is going to be a duck! :) ha

I started my new position last night. It is awesome! A little sad because I don't get to see all my work friends but I love getting to spend more time with Cohen during the day! It is perfect!

I'm sad that summer is almost over! It definitely wasn't long enough! :( I also can't believe that Cohen will be 1 in 3 months!! They grow up soo fast! :/

Cohen is getting his first tooth! :) It's on the bottom, it's just barley starting to poke out..just a teeny! But it's still super cute and he is taking it soo well! He fusses a little and is a little bit more irritable than usual, but still taken it like a champ! :) I will post a picture when it's more visible!

I entered Cohen into the Gerber Generation photo contest!

Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not one of those pageant moms or anything (even though Cohen is a boy and I would NEVER put him in a pageant. Do they even have pageants for boys?) anyway, my family kept telling me he is sooo cute, he could be on TV, or in a commercial, you should send in his picture, everywhere we go people make comments about him..blah, blah, blah.. So I did it! Voting starts on September 3rd! I will write another post to remind all of you to vote! I'm excited! I do have a pretty dang cute kid and it would be cool if he won.

There are also some great prizes! A $25,000 scholarship, your child featured in a Gerber ad, your child's photo featured on the Gerber website, and a flip slide HD video camera!

So wish Cohen luck! Although it's no bid deal if he doesn't win because I still think he is the cutest baby EVER! :)

..4th of July & summer fun..

This summer has been super fun! Taking Cohen swimming, the rodeo, watching fireworks, going camping, boating, and wave running! Cohen is getting so big and growing up so fast! He eats mostly solid foods now and scoots around. He isn't talking yet, but he does blabber. He's still super happy and such a good baby. He is starting to get a little attitude, it's cute though.

Other than Cohen growing up and me officially starting my new position at work August 26th life is pretty simple. Hopefully next time it's something a little more exciting!

Saturday Cohen and I went to the carnival and rodeo for strawberry days with my family! It was so much fun! I took Cohen on the merry-go-round and he loved it! :) Then we went to the rodeo. It wasn't as good as it used to be, but it was still fun and I hadn't been to one in forever! Sunday was fathers day and we took the wave runners down to the lake then had a bbq! Cohen will be 7 months on the 23rd!! He is getting so dang big..and he has the cutest personality!!

So..I got a promotion at work!!:) I'm the new night team lead! (night manager). I'm super excited because then I can be at home during the day with Cohen and at work while he's asleep!! Plus the benefits and extra money will be saweet!!:)

Time is just flying by! Cohen is growing up soo fast. He just turned 6 months yesterday. He is rolling over and he can sit up on his own! He is getting an even bigger personality! It is so cute! I just love him so much. He means the world to me. I got a new camera and camcorder so that I can make sure and get all his new milestones! Chris kind of found a job, he is going to be doing rock chip repair with his cousins. Hopefully he can make some money! I'm excited for Memorial weekend..I wish the weather wasn't crappy but whatev ha I get a 3 day weekend!! woot woot!!

This year was Cohen's first easter, he isn't quite old enough to really get into it but he did have fun putting his easter books and clothes into his mouth! Great Grandma got him the cutest easter day outfit! He looked like a little easter bunny!

Saturday we went to breakfast and then to grandpas house and made sugar cookies and colored eggs! Then we watched conference and ordered Brick Oven pizza for dinner...yummy!!

Sunday we went back to grandpas house and had dinner and watched conference then watched our usual Sunday shows!!

All and all it was a good easter but I can't wait for Cohen to be a little older to enjoy it more...even though the thought of him getting older still makes me sad! *tear tear*

He is the greatest joy and blessing and I couldn't have asked for a better baby!! :)

..Grandpas Birthday..

Today was grandpas birthday!! It was soo much fun! We threw him a surprise party and he really had no idea! It was great! We also got him a bunch of "Over the Hill" stuff like a orange safety jacket that said a bunch of funny things about being old, Bald Buster pills, a decision spinner and a shot glass with the definition of old on it. Cohen had so much fun! He loves his grandpa and he loves seeing everyone..even if he doesn't really remember them because he doesn't get to see them very often! We also got a 5 generation photo...Cohen, me, grandpa, great grandma, and great great grandma.

Cohen also turned 4 months yesterday :( *tear tear* I don't want him to get big...well I do but not so fast!!! He's my little guy and he is getting so big I just want him to stay my little guy forever! Ha I know he will always be but you know..haha

Chris's 21st birthday is on Saturday...it should be fun...we are just going to watch the UFC fights and hang out! Sheesh everyone is getting so old...haha ;)

Well Cohen will be 4 months on the 23rd and it is just flying by, he is getting so big and learning new things all the time. On 3/11 we were at grandmas house and he started to blow bubbles with his lips (motorboat). It is the cutest thing ever!!

I switched departments at work, I am now in Tech Support so I have been training for that the last couple of days. It's really fun and a good opportunity to learn a lot and to also move up. In compliance there is really no room for advancement. It's also a nice change of pace and environment. I think I'm really going to enjoy it.

I am looking at getting a new car also. I really want a Mazda 3..I know...I know everyone has one, but I have wanted one forever!!! I also like the Honda Elements, but they are more expensive.

Chris is still lookin for a job, so if anyone knows of anywhere that is hiring LET US KNOW!!!

Oh my goodness, can I just say it is crazy how fast Cohen is growing up.
I swear everyday he does something new that I'm like oh no my little guy is growing up!!
Anyway the biggest milestone that has happened this month is he has started reaching for his toys! I just can't believe it!! Soon he will be sitting up, rolling over, crawling, then walking!! I am so excited and anxious just watching him grow and learn!! But I am a little sad too because that means my lil guy is growing up...and what mommy doesn't get sad about that!!

I wish that I could say everything is perfect! But sadly it's not. Cohen is great and I love him so much, he is my life and I can't imagine life without him!
But Chris not having a job has really put a strain on our relationship. We fight more than ever and I hate it! This is not at all how I pictured our family. I feel like he doesn't take me serious and that sometimes I am just a joke to him, I want us to eventually get married, I want to get sealed to Cohen and go through the temple, and I want us to get a house some day and move forward in life. Not just for me but for Cohen.
My life isn't just about me anymore it's about Cohen too and I want to make sure that he has everything he needs and more if I can provide it! I don't think that Chris feels the same :( which makes me really sad!! I appreciate that he stays home with Cohen while I am at work, but that should be me. I guess I kind of also resent him a little for not caring and not trying. I mean I know he loves Cohen but I feel like he needs to grow up and hold up his end of the deal.
Blah...on a lighter note I finished my photo blocks I've been wanting to do!! And I think they turned out really good!!:)

..Living Planet Aquarium..

Today my friend Sarah and I took our little guys to the Living Planet Aquarium. I know that Cohen isn't going to remember it haha and that it was a lot more fun for Tristan because he is older, but I had never been before and I had work of because of President's Day and wanted to do something fun!! It is a really neat place, minus the crowd (because of the holiday and no school) so I will definitley be taking Cohen there again when he is older!!

It was our 1st Valentines together and it was a ton of fun!!:) Cohen is getting so big so fast and changing so much! He is the happiest/best baby EVER!! I love him so much and I love being a mom. It is the greatest joy! I love watching him grow and learn!!:) Anyway we didn't do a whole lot, we went to lunch on Saturday and ran a few errands (Chris loved that ahha). We got some new decorations for our apartment, and Chris got me the pair of Vans I've been wanting!!! YAY! Grandpa Steve got Cohen the cutest stuffed dog and I got him the cutest little shirt!

We also went and got Cohens pictures done. They turned out really cute, even though we didn't have a whole lot to choose from because he started to get fussy, but we got some really good ones. Then we just went home and watched movies and ate some yummy junk food!! Wasn't the most exciting or romantic Valentines but it was definitely a good one!

The last week has been pretty stressful. Last Sunday I noticed t hat Cohen had a little cough, so Monday I took him into the doctor and they said that I needed to take him over to Utah Valley to get him tested for RSV. That was THE WORST experience EVER!! I had to hold his head down while the stuck tubes in his nose to suck out his little boogies and test them. Well Wednesday the test results came back and he DID have RSV:( and I have had to take him to the hospital everyday so that the can suck out the boogies so he can breathe. I have been so worried about him and it breaks my heart everytime he coughs. But my uncle came over and gave him a blessing Tuesday night and so that made me feel a lot better.

I can't believe how big Cohen is getting!! He coos and laughs it's the cutest thing EVER!!! I know he is only 2 months old and that isn't very big, but he is a strong little guy. He holds his head up so well and when you place is feet on something flat he straightens out his little legs and stands..with our help of course but it's just amazing how fast they grow and how much they change!! And I just want you all to know that the letters hanging on the wall I made my self, painted them and glued the little animals on!! My very first craft project since becoming a mommy!!:)

Wow...it's been awhile! The last month has been amazing I love my lil guy!! :D He is the best blessing and he is growing sooo FAST!!! Everyday he looks different and everyday he does something cuter than the day before! And he loves his baths. Even though he is only a month old he splashes and smiles so BIG!!! Cohen was already spoiled on his first Christmas! We moved in to our little apartment and I went back to work :( it's sad because I miss him so much!! But I'm only away for 6 hours and he is usually sleeping and when I get home he is awake!! I also decided that for this 2010 I am going to be more crafty I have 3 projects that I'm going to start...not all at once of course ha and I am also going to lose this baby weight!! ha

Cohen is here!!! YAY finally!!! He came 8 days past my due date...November 23, 2009 but he still came and he is the cutest little guy ever!!! Oh and he wasn't the littlest guy...8 pounds 3 ounces, 21 inches long!! I'm not really sure how he fit in there!!! But he is perfect and the best baby...he rarely cries, only when he is hungry or needs changed!! I love him sooo much!! And I'm so lucky he is mine!!!:)

It is so amazing how a tiny little person that you haven't even met can change your life. I have changed so much since I found out that I was pregnant. Everytime I feel baby Cohen move in my tummy it reminds me that it was all worth it and I get soo excited to be a mom! It is the best blessing that god could have given me! I'm so excited and anxious to meet him!! :D

Things are moving along quite fast!! It seems like I just barely found out and I only have about 13 weeks left!

On Thursday we got the stroller and car seat!! They are sooo cute!! Chris picked them out. :) We also got the crib set!! Now we're just waiting to see if we get the apartment that we want so that I can finally set up his room and put all of his things in there.

P.S. I'm posting LOTS of pictures...baby stuff...my belly at 26 weeks :D!!

Chris took me to see The Ugly Truth on Monday night..soooo funny!! I loved it!! And I LOVE Gerard Butler..mmm...lol!! :D So many good movies have come out this summer!! I love it, mainly because that is all I can do now that I'm pregnant lol..so we have seen LOTS of movies!! My top favorites so far.. 1. Hangover 2. The Proposal (looovvee Ryan Reynolds!!) 3. Transformers (mmm Shia Lebeouf) 3. The Ugly Truth (I know it says 3 and 3 but it's because they are tied!! haha) 4. Terminator 5. Star Trek (I know..Chris made me see it..and it actually wasn't bad!!)
Also I no longer have dark hair...it's BLONDE again!! :) And I cut it!! A little past my shoulder's!! I guess you could say that I have a mommy hair cut now..although I don't really think it looks too mommy ish haha!
On another note I have soooo much to do to get ready for baby Cohen (we aren't positive that will be his name yet, but I want it to be) all I have so far are clothes! ha I know typical girl thing to do!! lol and I don't even have that many of those!! I have a whole list of things that I need to get but I'm not exactly sure where to start! My family is being extremely helpful though..they are helping us get most of the big things..crib, stroller/car seat, swing.. Chris's job is to find us somewhere to live!! haha we have looked at a few places but haven't decided yet! But we don't have that much longer...so we have to start getting everything ready ASAP!!:)

Today was my 20 week doctors appointment...and we found out that we are having a....BOY!! I'm super excited...it was official when I heard the heartbeat...but now, it's like real. I got to see him and the doctor said that everything was great and looked good. So now just on to waiting until he comes..we have discussed a few names I like Cohen and Parker..Cohen is my favorite so far. My due date is November 15. Right around my birthday!! :) A little after but he's my lil birthday present.

I know that I have been a bad blogger. So I thought I would update you on my life currently..
I am still working at Security Metrics. I LOVE IT!! It's a really great job and I enjoy the people that I work with.
I am still dating Mr. Christopher..he can be pain but I love him too! Our dog Renner had to get neutered..it was SOO sad, but he recovered the next day!! He is the cutest/best dog..and so full of energy!! Seriously the next day you wouldn't have been able to tell that he just had surgery..he was running around playing with the other dogs..it was insane!!
My brother just recently started staying with us since my dad and is EVIL step wife lost their house...they are so ridiculous you don't even know. Anyway..I like having him stay with us!!
So that is pretty much it for now..until next time...which won't be 2 months..
